Scope and data controller

This policy explains how PortX Technologies Ltd. collects, uses, shares, retains, and protects personal data when you use our websites, products, or services or communicate with us. PortX Technologies Ltd. is the data controller for information collected through this website unless a product notice or client agreement identifies another controller.

Information you provide

We may collect your name, email address, telephone number, organisation, role, account details, messages, support requests, product preferences, and any information you choose to provide. When a paid service is offered, we may also process billing details and transaction references. We do not ask you to send passwords or complete payment-card details through our contact forms.

Information collected during use

We may collect device and browser information, IP address, approximate location, pages viewed, access times, referring pages, product events, diagnostic information, security logs, and cookie or similar technology data. A product may collect additional information needed for its stated function, which should be explained in that product's own notice.

How we use information

We use personal data to respond to enquiries, create and manage accounts, provide products and services, process transactions, support users, maintain security, diagnose faults, improve performance, prevent fraud or misuse, communicate service information, and meet legal, regulatory, accounting, and contractual obligations.

Lawful bases

Where applicable law requires a lawful basis, we rely on consent, performance of a contract, compliance with a legal obligation, protection of vital interests, performance of a task in the public interest where applicable, or our legitimate interests in operating, improving, and securing PortX products and services.

Sharing and processors

We do not sell personal data. We may share it with vetted hosting, communications, analytics, payment, security, and professional-service providers where they need it to perform work for us. We may also disclose information to a client under an applicable agreement, during a lawful business reorganisation, or to regulators, courts, and law-enforcement authorities where required by law.

International transfers

Where personal data is processed outside the country in which it was collected, we use safeguards required by applicable law. These may include adequacy decisions, contractual protections, risk assessments, and controls that limit access to authorised people.

Retention

We retain personal data only for as long as needed for the purpose for which it was collected, including product operation, dispute resolution, security, contractual commitments, and legal, tax, or regulatory obligations. Retention periods vary by record type. Information is deleted, anonymised, or securely archived when it is no longer required.

Security

We use organisational and technical safeguards appropriate to the nature of the information and the risks involved. These may include encrypted transport, access controls, logging, backups, supplier reviews, and incident-response procedures. No online service is completely secure, so users should also protect their credentials and devices.

Your rights and choices

Depending on applicable law, you may request access to your personal data, correction of inaccurate information, deletion, restriction, portability, or an objection to certain processing. Where processing relies on consent, you may withdraw that consent. You may also complain to the relevant data-protection authority. Some rights may be limited by lawful exemptions or retention obligations.

Cookies and communications

We may use essential cookies and limited analytics or preference technologies. Browser controls can restrict cookies, although doing so may affect site functionality. You can opt out of non-essential promotional messages using the instructions in the message or by contacting us. Service and security messages may still be sent where necessary.

Children and policy changes

PortX websites and general business services are not directed to children unless a product clearly states otherwise and provides appropriate safeguards. We may update this policy when our products, practices, or legal obligations change. The current version and its update date will remain available on this page.
